CLEARWOOD - The county issued the notice of application and we have till the 29th of September to send comments
Thurston County has determined that AT&T’s special-use permit application is complete; however, no final decision has been made. In addition to the special-use permit, the County required the applicant to submit a Reasonable Use Exception because the proposed tower compound would encroach into the required buffer near a hazardous slope.
We have only until September 29 to submit public comments. The County intends to issue a Determination of Non-significance (DNS), and the deadline to appeal that SEPA determination is October 6. This may be our last opportunity to submit comments addressing the project’s environmental impacts and ensure that our concerns become part of the official record.
We urgently need to raise up to $3,000 to retain an attorney who can help us develop the strongest possible strategy and arguments.
Public comments will be an important part of the record considered by the Hearing Examiner during the public hearing. We need to present our strongest arguments, supported by sound legal and factual analysis, and we need an attorney’s assistance to do so.
Thank you again for your support and generosity.
